It'll be interesting to see what the impact of Xbox One S will be on both hardware, and Xbox Live growth. Some bundles have been announced already, pretty sure there maybe more on the way heading towards holidays.
Uncharted is a copy of Tomb Raider period. I do like that they are highlighting Tomb Raiders 20 year history. How long has Uncharted been around? As for the similar artwork? That has more to do with a stylistic marketing that has been going around with silhouette. Then you factor in that the art book cover for the definitive Tomb Raider edition also used the art style. They are all being trendy in marketing at the moment.
Sooooooo the Tomb Raider On the PS4 Is Not 1080p/60fps... There goes that 50% power difference to the Xbox One again. What's even more funny is the fact that Tomb Raider definitive started a whole comparison war being that it was 1080p/60fps on PS4. Not always stable, but that was the aim.
Fear is a strong word. I doubt Sony fears Project Scorpio as it relates to Neo. What they are is perhaps "concerned". What the video failed to mention by its author is the fact that the Xbox One S right now is the hottest product wanted on Amazon. It may not do games in 4k, but it is a 4K blu ray player, upscales games to 4K, has HDR, has a lower price, and launches next month. At the same time a new upgrade is coming next year for the Xbox brand. All we know right now is that Sony...
First and foremost Sony and it's faithful began the flip flops the very first day the world found out about the OG Xbox. That's when we all heard about how it was all about the games when the first Xbox was more powerful than the PS2. If you like when we can have a friendly wager on that being true or false.
Secondly, since NPD was releasing sales numbers all companies touted them especially Sony. It's the very reason why everyone ...
Right now Xbox One S is the number one console on Amazon and it's set to release in August. That is a clear marketing win for Microsoft. It is very clear to anyone that paid half attention that Microsoft just introduced three devices that share the same eco-system. There is no killing a base that is a set standard. All titles play across platforms at different price points. The Xbox One is set to be the first budget console in ten years. So any parent looking to purcahse a console for the...
I wouldn't say it was a disaster of not showing the Neo, but I will say they missed an opportunity. Right now they have to figure out the best time in the next two months to reveal the console, go full on with marketing PSVR, and give current PS4 gamers a reason to care about upcoming games. That is alot of marketing and messaging that needs to be absorbed by everyone from consumers to media. If you don't think so, then you may have just entered into a gaming console/peripheral launch ...
@Apocalypse For you and the people that think like you.
The biggest mistake your line of logic makes is that you believe PC is only a threat to MS Xbox console platforms. No, it is a threat to any Playstation. Microsoft has never stated once that the Xbox One can't play VR games. What they have stated is they are making a console that is more capable of playing VR which is Project Scorpio, and that they don't believe in VR right now. So they are getting prepared wit...
Disagree. Nintendo, and Sony still offer differentiation that will sorely be needed in the gaming space otherwise we will be subject to horrible homogenize of the same titles everywhere. Cool on one hand, but bland on another hand.
No, they have not undermined the Xbox Slim. You have to be absolutely new to gaming to ever think that a slim model which is mean to offer a cheaper price point, small upgrades is being undermined by a complete hardware upgrade at a higher price point. Choice doesn't undermine anyone. It gives them options that are viable. Pre orders alone say this article is wrong.
It actually was a really good conference. The irony is that Sony finally made a conference that focused on gaming like Microsoft's. If you go back and watch the past several Sony E3 conferences they were mixed with marketing, stats, indie, and just overall disjointed. The hardware announcements alone backed Sony down into a corner that they have to figure out another time to really showcase a console in PS4 Neo that comes out in several months with PSVR.
I'm interested in seeing how Microsoft and Sony present the transition into a new generation. They've both effectively hit the reset button. Neither the Xbox One or the PS4 can do VR at a substantial level. They both would just be making casual games like many mobile games out there.
VR seems to be something companies are pushing versus the consumer demanding VR. So I'm not sure if this makes sense yet. With the Scorpio Microsoft is waiting a year based on the r...
